Baltimore Adult Entertainment: Interview – Director Aniket Chattopadhyay On GORAY GONDOGOL (Bengali, 2012 …

The conversation now moves on to â˜Goray Gondogolâ, the latest (and highly-anticipated!) directorial venture of Aniket Chattopadhyay. The director revealed that â˜Goray Gondogolâ will make an attempt to portray the lives of the â˜suburban fringe charactersâ (or, â˜prantik choritroâ-s, as Chattopadhyay described them), who are rapidly growing in number in the contemporary society. Turning philosophical for a brief while, the director stated that no one chooses to become pickpockets, kidnappers or prostitutes out of their own free will and are often a victim of their surroundings and circumstances. Indeed, many such people have wonderful hearts and are way more frank and less hypocritical than so-called sophisticated, high-class individuals. These people seldom get the chance to showcase their good sides in life and this issue appears as a recurring theme in â˜Goray Gondogol.â

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: Megaupload Shut Down, Operators Charged

… If the government can prove these claims, which seem pretty difficult to refute, these guys are going to have an uphill defense,” Randazza told XBIZ. “I think a lot of content producers are going to be toasting this indictment tonight.”
In reaction to the government’s charges, Pink Visual’s Q Boyer told XBIZ that Megaupload’s business model has “always been a dangerous game to play.”
“[T]hey do things that could be construed as providing an incentive to commit piracy on the part of Megaupload’s users,” Boyer noted.
“This indictment underscores the importance of developing your business on a legally-sound model; if you don’t, no matter how popular your sites and services become, your empire can come crashing down in a heartbeat,”  he said.
PornGuardian’s Dominic Ford called today’s announcement of the indictment a positive move for the adult entertainment industry, saying that file-sharing sites are the biggest facilitators of piracy.

Baltimore Strip Clubs: House votes to ban welfare ATM debit cards at strip clubs

House votes to ban welfare ATM debit cards at strip clubs

WASHINGTON, DC (WBTV) – The US House has voted overwhelmingly to ban welfare debit cards from being accessed inside various adult-themed stores, such as strip clubs, casinos and liquor stores.
The measure was approved late Wednesday by 395-27, with Republicans leading the way on the bill that they think will trim waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars, The Hill reported.
Democrats argued that the new rules demean folks who would need food at places that also sell liquor. The rules make ATMs off limits to the debit cards at the banned locations.

The bill got its start after the LA Times reported that more than $12,000 from aid programs was dispensed at California strip clubs from 2007 to 2009. Cash withdrawal fees in strip clubs typically are around $10, about 3 times more than usual.

Baltimore Strip Clubs: House votes to continue federal worker pay freeze

The House also passed, by voice vote, a resolution that would cut House committee budgets by an average of 6 percent in 2012. That reduction, combined with a 5 percent cut last year, would produce savings of $28 million.
The House also voted 395-27 for a bill that would ban use of welfare money in gambling casinos, liquor stores and adult entertainment places such as strip clubs. The House passed a similar provision in December, but it never made it through the Senate.
Many states issue welfare recipients Electronic Benefits Transfer cards with cash benefits. The cards are supposed to assist families with basic needs, including food, shelter and clothing. The cards also provide a way of tracking where benefits are withdrawn, and that’s how states discovered the withdrawals at casinos, liquor stores and strip clubs.

Baltimore Strip Clubs: Insider’s best of Washington DC

It’s an energetic cosmopolitan city brimming with delicious eats, heart-pounding nightlife, arts, and world-class sights. Many visitors to the US tack on a few days in DC after spending time up the road in New York City (it’s a 4.5 hour bus ride away). However, DC is deserving of its own starring (or at least lead supporting) role in a jaunt to the States.
Of course there’s Mr. Obama’s digs, Smithsonian museums, and monuments galore, but here are a few stops and activities well worth exploring that you may not have heard about:
1 A paddle boat ride in the Tidal Basin – Take a break from throngs of tourists and T-shirt hawkers for an hour or two paddling around your own little slice of heaven. Out on the cool, quiet water you’ll encounter inquisitive ducks and a beautiful view of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. It’s also the scene of one of Washington’s most infamous scandals from the 1970s when a US Representative found himself in hot water on the Tidal Basin’s shores after drink driving with a stripper in his car.

Baltimore Strip Clubs: Locals: Flushing Avenue Will Go Nuts for Donuts

… The whole area’s changing,” said Joe Falco, 41, co-owner of Il Porto Restaurant across the street from Mr. Shariati’s building. Mr. Falco cited a supermarket that will soon replace the 18th-century Admiral’s Row inside the Navy Yard, and the hundreds of residents who have already moved into the under-construction Navy Green development on Clermont Avenue. “We serve a lot of working people here, people from the neighborhood, even prospect heights. Business is good.”
Such changes mean that Mr. Shariati can charge a higher rent than J.J.’s was paying, making it welcoming only for an established chain. That said, some locals think that the right local business could compete at the site.
“The area is a growing creative class,” said area writer Franz Wisner, 45. “The creative class loves to support local businesses. A Dunkin’ Donuts wouldn’t add character.”
Not that Mr. Wisner or others are mourning J.J.’s, despite its cheap beer and strippers.

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: Acquittals in Gabon Sting Case Are Latest Setback for US FCPA Enforcement

Godsey was represented by Michael Madigan, a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. During the trial, Madigan focused his arguments on attacking the nature of the FBI investigation. Madigan and other attorneys questioned the use of former military products executive Richard Bistrong as an informant to run the deal.
Defense attorneys argued that Bistrong lured their clients into the fake deal while trying to conceal its illicit nature. Bistrong entered into a plea agreement with the government and agreed to run the sting after he was caught by former employer Armor Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, bribing officials at the United Nations in order to win contracts to supply United Nations peacekeepers. Bistrong’s character, his cocaine habit and use of prostitutes were all fodder for defense cross examination when he took the stand.

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: The Drudge Distort

To this day, Newt Gingrich is keeping that conservative dream alive and that Reagan torch aflame. America is beginning to get this, and it has the “Republican in Name Only” (RINO) establishment tied in knots.
Politico summarizes Drudge’s hit job on Gingrich: “The overnight Drudge Report banner: ‘Insider: Gingrich repeatedly Insulted Reagan.’ The headline linked to a devastating takedown by Elliott Abrams in the National Review, who wrote, among other things, that Gingrich had a long record of criticizing and undermining Reagan’s most transformative policies.”
Baloney. Sorry, Matt Drudge, but Mrs. Reagan’s vote of confidence carries considerably more weight than your shameless smear on behalf of the Massachusetts moderate.
Cherry picked quotes, biased headlines and hyperlinks to Newt-hating op-eds in order to patch together an ugly and distorted mosaic of the former House speaker is not journalism. It’s mercenary-style political prostitution.

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: 2012 Election Critically Important for Pro-Life Movement

As pro-lifers gatherer in Washington, D.C. for the March for Life this week, we should celebrate the great year we had in 2011. As I have gotten older, I have realized that pro-lifers need to be engaged on multiple fronts. Among other things, we need to expose our opponents, pass pro-life laws, and shift the culture. Impressive progress was made in each of these areas in 2011.
The year began with reports of the deplorable conditions found inside Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia abortion clinic. The story was so chilling that it even received coverage from media outlets that almost never report on abortion related scandals. Shortly thereafter, LiveAction Films released another shocking expose which depicted Planned Parenthood employees agreeing to cover-up an underage prostitution ring. This scrutiny led to Congressman Cliff Stearns (R., Fla.) calling for the first ever congressional hearings on Planned Parenthood.
