Baltimore Escorts: Kristen Vigard Reminisces About Her Time At GUIDING LIGHT

… I think I personally was more youthful,” she admits. “I had my friends in Central Park and was not as focused as an actor as John or Kevin. They were focused on their careers. I was being a real teenager. I did the best I could for the job, but I saw it as a job and was also very social.”
“I had been working professionally since I was about 10, doing some print work. I wasn’t famous but I had the perfect low maintenance career,” she explains.  ”I had been in the business for a long time, and right after this job I took some time off.”
But not before some memorable adventures on-screen, like the time when Kelly saved Morgan after she ran away from Springfield.
“I ran away to Chicago. He saved me from Duke the pimp at the bus station,” she explains. “He promised me a waitress job and then delivered me to some corrupt Senator. At the last minute, Kelly played detective and burst in and saved me from being violated by the corrupt Senator!”

Baltimore Escorts: New band of the day – No 1196: Ital

Hometown: Washington DC.
The lineup: Daniel Martin-McCormick (music, production).
The background: Daniel Martin-McCormick is one of that breed of American whizz-kids, a do-anything type who used to be part of the Washington DC hardcore scene – he was in the Dischord band Black Eyes – and then formed a Rapture-style punk-funk outfit called Mi Ami. He followed that up with some electronic disco recordings as Sex Worker for the Not Not Fun label (whose Maria Minerva we raved about last summer), and for a while now he’s been operating as Ital on NNF’s sister label, 100% Silk, making a different kind of dance music. It’s house, only not quite house as it originally sounded in the late 80s, and certainly not as it’s conceived by revivalists such as the 2 Bears.

Baltimore Escorts: MorningFile: Greenbelt expansion, school board charges, and OC Transpo’s open data

OC Transpo is moving ahead with the public release of its bus-location data. Metroland reporter Laura Mueller broke the news that OC Transpo will release the GPS data to the public, and quoted Beacon Hill-Cyrville councillor Tim Tierney, an open data advocate on city council, saying those opposed to releasing the data had a change of heart. The Citizen reports that Kanata North councillor Marianne Wilkinson and Cumberland councillor Stephen Blais also support the release of the data.
Ottawa police hope to meet with sex workers in an effort to learn more about a series of unsolved local homicides. “The two-person unit is planning to hold meetings with sex-trade workers in shelters and away from the streets in an effort to bridge relations,” reports CBC Ottawa, who spoke with one local sex worker who says she wouldn’t talk to police.

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: Giving it ‘her all’ to make a difference

The group, which meets every Monday, is planning its annual March conference, where each member will talk about a different issue or bring in a speaker to address a particular topic.
“I chose suicide,” said Micaela, explaining that she had lost a cousin to suicide and feels that the issue needs to be better understood. She is trying to find a speaker, but is not certain she has sufficient funds.
She has, however, been able to pull together a program on another topic — one about which she is passionate.
Last summer, on vacation with her mother in Westhampton, the two viewed a documentary called “Crime after Crime,” detailing the case of a domestic violence victim who was, says Micaela, “wrongly incarcerated.”
The film tells the story of Deborah Peagler, tracing efforts to free her from prison 20 years after she was connected to the murder of the man who abused her and forced her into prostitution.

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: ‘Prostitution-free’ zones get under way, with word of caution about profiling

Prostitution-free zones get under way, with word of caution about profiling
As Prince Georges temporarily targets areas, District considers making permanent zones
by Natalie McGill, Staff Writer

Fairmount Heights Police Chief Donoven Brooks, one of two full-time town officers in addition to the part-time police officer, said he sees county police officers on the corridor every day. He said arrests for prostitution lead to reductions in other crimes, such as petty theft and breaking and entering into vehicles.
Brooks said there has been a decrease in the activity since the announcement that prostitution-free zones were coming to Prince George’s County.
Prostitution is against the law, and it’s our responsibility to enforce the law, and if a law is being broken and the activity becomes so pervasive that legislation needs to be submitted, then as law enforcement we’re in support of legislation that helps to eradicate criminal behavior and eliminate illegal activity,” Brooks said.

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: Penn National Playing to Win PGC

They have re-employed several displaced workers and projected 2,980 new jobs if gaming is offered along with over 4,600 construction jobs. Claiming to economically impact the State of Maryland with $2.5 billion dollars and $376 million dollars in new tax revenue annually including $39.6 million dollars in new tax revenue to Prince George’s County annually, Penn National questions why residents wouldn’t want the operations in their back yard.
According to the Bowie State Economic Impact Study of Gaming at Rosecroft, 67 percent of slots revenue collected by Maryland would fund programs with 48 percent going to education; 5.5 percent to the local government; 7 percent to horseracing; 2.5 percent for the first eight years to the Racetrack Renewal Fund; 2 percent to the State lottery, and; 1.5 percent to the Small, Minority and Women Owned Business Account.
Prince George’s County resident Radamase Cabrera raised concerns with crime, drugs, and prostitution being presented to the community if gaming is approved.

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: Will ‘Morrison’ Derail Fed’s Criminal Case Against Megaupload?

… The money-laundering statute specifically references United States jurisdiction over ‘foreign persons,’ and includes a prohibition on moving money into and out of the country illicitly,” she wrote. “Obviously, Megaupload and its executives can argue that they weren’t engaged in money laundering, but for Morrison purposes, the law does appear to have extraterritorial reach.”
Megaupload’s attorney, Robert Bennett, was forced to withdraw as lead counsel in the case because of a reported conflict of interest involving another of his law firm’s clients. Another Megaupload lawyer, Ira Rothken, is well known to the adult entertainment community, having litigated for a number of adult entities over the years, including Friendfinder, VMI/Trade News, Penthouse and the Free Speech Coalition. In 2008, Rothken also represented TorrentSpy in a $110 million copyright infringment lawsuit brought against it by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: 4 Porn Studios Asked to Prove Jurisdiction in BitTorrent Cases

4 Porn Studios Asked to Prove Jurisdiction in BitTorrent Cases
Mon, Jan 30 2012 01:45pm PST
WASHINGTON — A judge has issued orders to four adult entertainment companies requiring they prove that the federal court in Washington has jurisdiction over nondistrict residents who pirated their movies through BitTorrent networks.
If Exquisite Multimedia, Wicked Pictures, Elegant Angel and Axel Braun Productions can prove jurisdiction in the cases, then they can subpoena the IP addresses of scores of John Doe defendants.
The four memorandum opinions issued simultaneously last week by U.S. Magistrate Judge John Facciola take a hard look at “geographic location” of  users.
Facciola ordered supplemental briefs from the four studios “showing regarding its good faith belief that the IP addresses identified by plaintiff belong to persons who are domiciled in the District of Columbia and that the ISPs identified by plaintiff serve the District of Columbia.”

Baltimore Adult Entertainment: Under pressure, Komen halts funds for Planned Parenthood

Komen also has received criticism from some pro-life advocates for refusing to acknowledge studies that indicate a link between abortion and breast cancer. Some pro-lifers also have said Komen has contributed money to embryonic stem cell research, which results in the destruction of human embryos. In a Nov. 30 statement, Komen denied it had ever funded such experimentation, saying it supports research only on stem cells “derived without creating a human embryo or destroying a human embryo.”
Rep. Cliff Stearns, R.-Fla., is leading an investigation of Planned Parenthood by the House Energy and Commerce Committee. In a Sept. 15 letter to Richards, Stearns asked PPFA’s president to provide audits, documentation, policies and procedures regarding such issues as improper billing, segregation of federal funds from abortion services and reporting of suspected sex abuse and human trafficking.
Planned Parenthood has been plagued by various scandals in recent years. Secret investigations by pro-life organizations have uncovered PPFA workers demonstrating a willingness to aid self-professed sex traffickers whose prostitutes supposedly are in their early teens, seeking to cover up alleged child sex abuse, and agreeing to receive donations designated for abortions of African-American babies.
