Florida: According to a report, the state is the third highest with the most human trafficking. The statistics show that 83% of the human trafficking incidents in the state involve sexual exploitation while 12% of them are labor exploitation cases.
Texas: Three men are arrested for their involvement with organized crime and transfer of illegal migrants San Antonio. According to the reports, they had 15 illegal immigrants from Mexico and Honduras in two trucks.
California: LA law enforcement officers tightened its crackdown on massage parlors in downtown beginning last month in an effort of fighting against human trafficking. The police closed down more than five massage parlors last month.
LATIN AMERICA
Columbia: Three Columbian and an Ethiopian citizens were arrested for allegedly running an international trafficking ring to transfer Africans to the U.S. and Canada. The Ethiopian is reputed trafficking ring leader who has been in Columbia with a refugee status since 2007. They charge Africans $3000-$5000 for smuggling them from Columbia to the U.S.
