Chubbies, an adult entertainment club smack in the middle of the Fells Point Prospect neighborhood, has been open occasionally on weekends since last summer, closed down on July 5 after liquor board inspectors and police busted the bar for being open past legal hours of operation.
Fells Point Prospect residents are marshaling support to have the club — one of the few strip bars in Baltimore still allowed to operate in what has become a primarily residential neighborhood — shut down. After a flurry of petitions to the Baltimore City Liquor Board and an ongoing email campaign, Chubbies is facing a revocation hearing today (Thursday) before the liquor board.

Brian Schulman, owner of Scores Nightclub, an adult entertainment establishment on Fallsway, once owned an interest in the club as well as the building, but has since sold.
